April 2009 Before you begin your curriculum process, contact Terry at 484-7329 to see if the course has been cleaned up. All meetings will be on Tuesdays from 3 - 5 p.m., Fall meetings will be held in the Teaching Learning Center (in the LLRC) and the Spring meetings will be held in the Complex, room 419. Deadlines to prelaunch: Courses & Programs: September 18, 2009 (no exceptions) Seminars to be offered in Spring 2010: August 27, 2009 (no exceptions) Seminars to be offered in Fall 2010: January 22, 2010 (no exceptions) Curricunet availability (courses can still be worked on, but can not be prelaunched on closed dates) Open: April 1 - May 21, 2009 Closed: May 22 - August 13, 2009 Open to prelaunch: August 14 - September 18, 2009 Fall meeting dates - meetings held in the TLC: Sept. 8, 15, 22, 29; Oct. 6, 13, 20, 27; Nov. 3, 10, 17, 24; Dec. 1, 8, 15 Spring meeting dates - meetings held in the Complex, room 419: Feb. 2 & 16; Mar. 2 & 16; Apr. 6 & 20; May 4 & 18 "Same as" courses: All courses that have "same as" courses must revise both in Curricunet in order for your course(s) to be approved. All new and revised courses need to meet the established class size guidelines (located under LINKS). If class size does not meet the guidelines, a justification must be provided explaining why it is different. Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) will be required for all new and revised courses being submitted for curriculum approval. Priority will be given to UC-TCA, CSU GE, and/or IGETC course submittals during the Fall curriculum review cycle. Due to specific deadlines required by UC and CSU, it is critical for these submittals to be prelaunched in Spring 2009. Please consult with the Articulation Officer at extension 47025, prior to prelaunching your course. Faculty are encouraged to prelaunch their proposals between the April 1 - May 22, 2009 time frame.
