Reading Optional Text: Assignments: Complete the three assigned readings on Adult Learners and Underprepared students. Incorporate the learning principles from these articles in your Tutor Observation report.
Writing Optional Text: Assignments: Students will report on three observations of tutoring sessions. The report will integrate relevant points from three assigned readings on Adult Learners. Other Optional Text: Assignments: Students will observe other students role play a tutoring session and will evaluate the observed session in terms of the Tutoring Cycle. Students will develop practice points for the observed role players to help them improve their tutoring techniques. |

| Course Methods of Evaluation | A student's evaluation will be based on a required final examination and multiple measures of performance including critical thinking. These methods may include, but are not limited to the following. The student will be graded on class participation, quizzes, a final examination, and other assignments as established by the instructor. At least one method will be used which will require the student to demonstrate critical thinking as evidenced through writing, and/or problem-solving. |
